Medical Surgical Nursing deals with the diagnosis & treatment of human health problems. The Health Care environment is changing day by day Today’s prescription of care and prevention are not the same as yesterday’s and tomorrow’s needs will be different as well .
Nursing is a challenging subject. There is A large body of information that students must master. A firm knowledge base allow nurses to meet the changing needs of the clients and the Society.
Medical surgical nursing was developed to provide nursing students with knowledge a skill , they need to become competent, think critically and possess the sensitivity, they need to become caring nurses. Professional nursing practice continues to evolve and adopt to societies changing health priorities. The rapidity changing health care delivery system offers new opportunities for nurses to alter the practice of medical surgical nursing and to improve the way of nursing care given. further more practicing and advanced medical surgical nurses will find the positions in this ever changing technologically advanced field.
Activities :
- Participates in eye camp
- Organize the diabetic camp in the parent hospital and referral services for follow up care.
- Participates in Hepatitis B vaccination camp.
- Participate in first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation training programme Conducted by St. John’s Ambulance Association.
