The Nobel Profession of Nursing
Nursing is much more than just a career. It's more about selfless love, care and service. The noble profession of Nursing, founded by 'The Lady of the Lamp', Florence Nightingale, today is one of the most respected as well as rewarded careers in the world. In its real sense, nursing is as old as life itself. Through the ages, it has grown and became complex and highly sophisticated along with the advancement of Science and technology. Nursing has found its unique and indispensable place in Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Medical Clinics, Nursing Homes, Armed Forces, Ships, Aviation, and all other spheres of human activity.

Nursing has its many facets like hospital nurse, visiting nurse, doctors' assistants in diagnosis/treatment/research, industrial health nurse, community health nurse, nurse practitioners and so on. A career in the exciting and interesting field of nursing, offers opportunities not only to be placed in countries around the globe but also in economic security and high levels of self-advancement, self-achievement and job satisfaction

Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Nursing Sceinces established in 2003-04.

The devoted faculty teaches and trains the students, the art and skill of nursing, making use of the best of infrastructure available in the city.

Discipline
Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Nursing Sciences expect a high level of discipline and decorum from students, which shows up in a disciplined approach. Students are expected to be smartly dressed at all occasions and are required to follow the   prescribed dress code for theory classes and clinical.

Students, who do not fulfill the attendance requirement prescribed by the University/Board, will not be allowed to take up the Annual Examinations. For the B.Sc. Nursing Programme, it is 80% and 75% for the Diploma Programme.

Ragging in any form is viewed seriously by the Management and anyone found indulging in it would face severe punishment that could extend to summary dismissal. Ragging is also an offence under the Karnataka Education Act, 1983.

Uniform
The students are required to wear the uniform prescribed by the Institution. The uniform will be stitched by the institution and the student will have to bear the cost of it.

Withdrawal and Dismissal
If any student decides to withdraw voluntarily from the institution, during training period or at any stage before completing teh course, the student should pay back to the college all the money spent on her by the college.

The college reserves the right to terminate any student whose work or conduct is not found satisfactory during the period of training.

Student Health Programme
A comprehensive health programme is available to all students. Students undergo a complete medical check up on admission and thereafter every year.
