DEPARTMENTS OF COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

Community   Health Nursing is designed to provide need based family & community health care  with  an emphasis on the application of nursing process and principles of nursing  practice.  It is intended to give a broader understanding of managerial aspects of community health nursing practice with emphasis    on planning, organizing, implementing  & evaluation of community health programme.

Activities :

• Conduct regular  classes &  demonstration in  community health nursing
• Conduct a field survey and  identify the  health  problems which is prevalence in the field.
• Conduct school health   programmes periodically.
• Visit to school, Rural and urban  health centre & Anganawadi.
• Participate  in the activities of  Primary  Health Centre
• Visit health organization and institutions of National  & International  importance.
•  Conduct  a health camp in rural area.
• Provide a comprehensive family health care.
• Conduct  Health teaching fro the Individuals & family & Community
•  Assess
• Participate in National  Health  Programme
• Participate in  MCH  Clinicals , F.P. Clinical camps.
• Perform required assessment for all age groups  ( Infant, Underfive , Adolescence, Adult, Old age).
• Conduct a project based on identity health problems.
• Identity the training needs & conduct staff development programme for different functions in the  Community.
