Guest Lectures:
The educational strategy of using guest lectures is expected to enhance our students’ learning experience by providing current and relevant examples of the practical applications of theory. They also enrich students’ knowledge with the latest updates of the Industrial technicalities. In order to achieve this department organizes such informative guest lectures on regular basis. Department has organized more than 50 guest lectures so far.
Faculty Development Programs:
Department organizes FDP programs to assist up-gradation of skill and knowledge of faculty members towards new concepts, methods and techniques, pedagogy educational technology and other relevant issues to keep pace with the changing scenario in Technical Education. It will also serve as a plat form to bring Researchers, Academia and Technocrats from different parts of the country to a common gathering for exchanging and sharing the recent developments in the field of Biotechnology.

Industry-Academia Interaction
The Department provides techno-platform for the students and faculty to upgrade their technical skills and to augment their knowledge domain in the cutting edge technologies by inviting Industry experts, Scientists & Entrepreneurs and providing a platform to interact. The Department regularly conducts Expert lectures and Webinars. Expert lectures/Webinars is expected to enhance our students’ learning experience by providing current and relevant examples of the practical applications of theory. It also enriches students’ knowledge with the latest updates of the Industrial technicalities, more than 200 domain experts across the globe visited the Department and shared their domain knowledge.

The Department of Biotechnology organized six webinars during the lockdown for the benefit of the students.
International virtual symposium
A 5-days international virtual symposium on “An Insight to Biotechnological Applications” was organized by the Department from 5th to 10th August 2020. Eminent speakers from various domains in the field of biotechnology delivered an expert talk from the field of their specialization.
National conference on science,engineering,management and architecture (ncsem-2k20).
VIRTUAL ONLINE CONFERENCE NCSEM 2k20 Was organized by Department of Biotechnology on 15th and 16th July 2020.The virtual provides an excellent opportunity for the participants all over India to interact through online sessions, present papers and discussions with other delegates. This Virtual online NCSEM-2k20 conference provided an opportunity to engage more people in new and meaningful ways to interact with eminent scientists, to explore new realm of online events and move on to a digital event platform. Various webinars by eminent scientists and Industrialists had also been organized under NCSEM-2K20.
