We have a well-equipped post graduate clinic with 6 dental chairs and an advanced laboratory with the best of equipments and services. 

Surgical pathology reporting room:
The Department boasts of owning a Penta head research microscope with Jenoptik Germany ProgRes C5 cool CCD microphotography camera projected on a 40”LED TV for group discussions in histopathology. It also has Epi fluorescence attachment, polarizer and analyser attachments and U-CA multiple intermediate magnification changers with 1X/1.2X/2X/2.5X for the microscope.
The department also has 26 binocular microscopes for postgraduates and 56 monocular microscopes for undergraduates for teaching and self-centered learning. Research activities are encouraged by providing specialized types of microscope like phase contrast microscope, dark field microscope and stereo microscope. CCTV & photomicrography attachments are provided for documentation of the cases.

Histopathology laboratory:
The laboratory is operational with sophisticated equipments like automated tissue processor, microwave for tissue processing, semiautomatic microtome and hard tissue microtome. Services provided include FNAC, exfoliative cytology and histopathological reporting.  High quality clinical and gross specimen photography is made possible by the use of high resolution digital SLR with 100mm macro lens and a ring flash, additionally there is a 1 chip CCD camera, progress c5 which is suitable for photomicrography including cool light photography for fluorescence microscopy. Image analysis software is also available for quantitative analysis.

A full-fledged Immunohistochemistry [IHC] laboratory with multiple panels of antibodies is available for diagnostic histopathology of special cases.

Hematology  lab:
It comprises of Semiautomatic biochemical analyzer, Hematological analyser, Hot air oven / incubator (digital), Digital calorimeter, Cytospin, Digital ph meter and offers services like routine blood examination, numerous biochemical tests and special serological investigations.

Patient statistics:
A total of 2438 investigations were carried out in the department in the year 2018, which included 1595 hematological investigations and 843 histopathology/cytology reporting.
