The Magazine has articles on latest technologies, cartoons, riddles etc.,   About College The Oxford College of Science was started in the year 1994 with twelve students and five teachers. Within seventeen years the, college has registered a phenomenal growth. Presently College is catering education to more than 3000 students. The institution owes this astounding progress to our dedicated Management and a committed teaching staff. Within an intensely competitive environment, the college has adopted a dynamic, global, high quality: creative and communicative approach in education, as well as research and development. Keeping abreast with modern developments, the institution is constantly reinventing itself and renovating its physical infrastructure as well as its research and education facilities. The Oxford College of Science proudly stands on a sprawling new campus with a 6-stroyed building of 2.85 lakh sq.ft area in HSR Layout, Sector IV. The College is affiliated to Bangalore University. Through the years Science and Technology have undergone major changes and advancements. The importance and relevance of basic and applied sciences can never be ruled out. More importantly, in the present technology driven world, the importance of sciences has grown more than before with constantly developing competition in all fields of business. All big organizations have started to invest more and more in R & D. Scientists are thus becoming the backbone of industry. Lucrative opportunities exist in fields as varied as basic research, industrial employment and the teaching profession. Additionally, training in Sciences provides an excellent platform for entrepreneurship in the area of specialization. India is known for its large pool of higher caliber scientific fraternity. This fraternity has contributed not only to academic research or discovery but also to the Nation's advancement in many areas. In this context, The Oxford College of Science nurtures the scientific temperament of its students. Located in lush green expansive campus at HSR Layout, it is considered the most preferred place for obtaining a Bachelors and Masters Degree in different Sciences and technical Subjects. The Oxford College of Science offers 10 combinations of the B.Sc. programme; B.Sc. FAD and BCA. Under the postgraduate programmes the college offers M.Sc. in 10 subjects and M.C.A. The Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology (IT/BT), GOVT. of Karnataka has sanctioned the starting of a Biotechnology Finishing School at the College to prepare UG and PG students for industry readiness.
