ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Department of Engineering Physics
The department of Engineering Physics was established in the year 2000. The Department of Physics is one of the most important departments of the institution. The motto of the department is to provide quality education. The department has two well equipped laboratories for undergraduate Engineering courses. Physics is the foundation science upon which all other natural sciences and engineering are built.

Vision
To inculcate interest in Physics and promote the understanding of it, and also to develop observational and computational skills, which will take the development in technology to new heights.

Mission
The department has been working towards fulfilling its vision through a synergic combination of teaching and research. The department also strives to promote excellence in technical education and scientific research through the effective use of Physics in real time engineering problems

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

• To enable students to learn the basic concepts in Physics which are very much essential in understanding and solving engineering related challenges.
• To Gain the knowledge of newer concepts in modern physics for the better appreciation of modern technology.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO)

• Learn & understand more about basic principles & to develop problem solving skills and implementation in technology
• Study of material properties and their applications is the prime role to understand and use in engineering applications and studies
• Develop skills to impart practical knowledge in real time solution
• Understand measurement technology, usage of new instruments and real time applications in engineering studies
