Oxford Run 2017, on Sunday, 17th Sept’2017

Oxford Run 2017- was a 5km run and a 10km turn around run from Oxford College of Engineering Bommanahalli campus to Oxford College Of Science and Management H.S.R.Layout.
The Chief Guest of the Day was Mr. Sanjay Sahay, ADGP, Karnataka inaugurated the Event at 3.00 pm along with the Guest of Honour was Mr. Satish Reddy, MLA. Other Special Guests such as Mr. M. C Abbas, IPL Anchor, Mr. Vamsi Krishna, Choreographer DCruz, Prabhu Deva Studios, Mr. Richard, Film Director, Mr.Kishan Reddy, President, Anti-corruption Movement, Bangalore and Ms. Chandana Devaraj, Kannada movie actress. The Event was also graced by all the Principals and HODs of all the department.

Oxford Marathon 2016, Sunday,18th Sept’16:   Save Mother Earth:Run to clean Mother Earth

Oxford Marathon 2016 was held in The Oxford College of Engineering, Bommanahalli, Bangalore under the guidance of Chairman Shri. S.N.V.L. Narasimharaju and well-wishes of the Oxford Group of Institutions. The Event was graced by Mr. Gurumurthy Reddy, Corporator, H.S.R. Layout, Shri. S.N.LV. Narasimharaju, Chairman of  Oxford Group of Institutions , Major Mudde Gowda, Governing Council Member, Oxford Institutions.

A special thanks to the DGP Mr.Om Prakash,  DCP Mr. Abhishek  Goyal & ADGP Mr. Sanjay Sahay for their exclusive support in giving traffic and route clearance for the Marathon inspite of prohibitory orders where all the other scheduled marathons were postponed except the Oxford Marathon.

Oxford Marathon 2016 , was a mid day run which began with a DJ Vinnith hosting the session, kept the crowd dancing to a mix of recent trendy music.

Swach Bharat Abhiyan
Theme:   “SAVE MOTHER EARTH ”  & “CLEAN EARTH - 2016”

The event was held by the MBA Department, under the guidance of Dr. Sarit Kumar, Director, MBA. The NSS activity as a precursor to fulfill the theme of Oxford Marathon 2016 was successfully conducted on Saturday 17th  Sept'16.The faculty and the students of III Sem MBA along with some of the housekeeping staff has taken the initiative to clean the Bommanahalli junction to create awareness among the public and the students towards clean earth/save earth.
NSS @ MBA -Human Chain Rally-2015
    • The MBA students of The Oxford College of Engineering have participated in the Human Chain Rally was organized by Karnataka State Commission for Child Rights protection on the occasion of International Child Rights Protection Day on November 20th 2015 as part of NSS activity.  Students of MBA department have taken the pledge along with some of the cabinet ministers who witnessed the event to protect the child rights.
    • The event was inaugurated by the Ministry Women and Child Welfare Department of Karnataka, Home Minister, Education Minister and other Ministers of Karnataka State.  A book “Nurturing Young Minds” on creating awareness regarding child trafficking and child abuse was released. The event organized at: Central Library, Cubbon Park, Bangalore.
    Plastic Free  Campus
    The event of “PLASTIC FREE CAMPUS” was organized by I MBA students of The Oxford College of Engineering on 13th of December 2018.
    The event was aimed at:
    • Creating awareness on the harmful effects of using Plastic.
    • Removal of all plastic items throughout the campus.
    • Giving away paper bags as alternatives.
