E Pass Karnataka Scholarship is a small initiative by the government of Karnataka which aims at providing financial assistance to the underprivileged section of society. The scholarships are Post Matric emphasizing the students belonging to backward classes. These schemes are disseminated through the electronic payment and application mode which is offered by the Department of Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Karnataka. This E- portal offers the facility of applying online for different Karnataka Post Matric Scholarship. To apply for any scheme you should be a domicile holder of the state. This is one and all portal that also offer a link to all treasuries, welfare departments, colleges, banks, and SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate).

With an objective to provide the best educational guidance, the ePass Karnataka portal has brought a change in the literacy rate of this state. It ensures hassle-free scholarship distribution where eligible candidates can apply for their higher studies.

To acquire this scholarship:-

    • The scholar must be a student at the post-matriculation level of education.
    • For Category 1, the annual family income of the scholar's family shouldn't exceed INR 1.50 Lacs P/A
    • For Category 2A, 3A & 3B the annual family income of the scholar's family shouldn't exceed INR 2 Lacs     P/A

National Scholarship Portal is a dedicated online scholarship portal which enlists multiple scholarships and fellowship for students across India to enable them to complete their education. It carries a plethora of schemes offered by the Central Government, State Government, and other government institutions like AICTE, UGC, etc. It is a one-stop portal for all government scholarships that offers multifarious services ranging from online scholarship application to hassle-free disbursal of scholarships.
The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) covers all types of scholarships for Pre Matric, Post Matric, UG, PG, Professional & Technical Courses, PhD level, etc. for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minorities/ Students with Disabilities category. The NSP Portal manages various services like verifying student applications, providing application receipts, processing the application, and sanctioning and disbursal of scholarship amount to the beneficiaries.

  • Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional & Technical Courses https://scholarships.gov.in/
    • Eligibility- Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh.
    • Scope- The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a Government or private institution, selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will cover technical and professional courses at undergraduate and post graduate level. A list of courses are at Appendix-E.
    • Students who get admission to a college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination will be eligible for the scholarship.
Scholarship Provided by The AICTE

Salient Features of the Scheme:

    • Number of scholarships per annum: 4000
    • ‘One Girl’ per family and it can be extended for Two Girl Child per family where the family income is less than Rs. 8 Lakh /annum (In case of married girl child, the income of parents/ in laws whichever is higher is to be considered).
    • The candidates will be selected on Merit at the qualifying examination to pursue technical education from amongst such candidates. The candidates should have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree or Diploma programme in any of the AICTE approved institute during the current Academic Year through centralized admission process of the State/ Centre Government.
    • Amount of scholarship: Tuition Fee of Rs. 30000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.
    • In case of candidates availing Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, and amount of Rs.30000/- may be reimbursed to the candidates selected for this scheme by the way of reimbursement for
  • Purchase of books,
  • Purchase of equipments, software
  • Purchase of Laptops.
  • Purchase of Desktops
  • Purchase of Vehicle
  • Fees paid towards competitive examination application forms/exam fees for all examinations related to higher education / employment.
    • Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% ST and 27% for OBC candidate/applicant.
    • Out of the total number of scholarship in each scheme, 50% scholarships are available at each Degree /Diploma level and also transferable in the event of non-availability of eligible applicant in any of the of Degree/ Diploma level Programme.

      • For Specially Abled students whose family income is less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum
      • The candidates should have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree or Diploma programme in any of the AICTE approved institute during the academic year 2015-16 through centralized admission process of the State/ Centre Government
      • The candidates will be select on merit at the qualifying examination to pursue technical education from amongst such candidates.
      • Amount of scholarship: Tuition Fee of Rs. 30000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.
      • In case of candidates availing Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, and amount of Rs. 30000/- may be reimbursed to the candidates selected for this scheme by the way of reimbursement for

        • Fees paid towards competitive examination application forms/exam fees for all examinations related to higher education / employment.
        • Purchase of specific equipments/software for visually impaired/speech and hearing disabled.

       

          • Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% ST and 27% for OBC candidate/applicant.
          • Out of the total number of scholarship in each scheme, 50% scholarships are available at each degree /diploma level and also transferable in the event of non availability of eligible applicant in any of the of degree/ diploma level programme.

      GUIDELINES FOR AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDENTS

          • The candidate should be from any one of the following categories:

       

        • Orphan
        • Either or both parents died due to Covid-19

       

        • Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)
          • Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum during the financial year of the application. A valid income certificate issued by State/UT Government is to be enclosed.
          • The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE Approved institutions and courses at Degree/ Diploma level in regular mode

    • NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS: A maximum of 2000 scholarships (1000 for Degree Students and 1000 for Diploma Students) will be awarded every year to eligible candidates as above.
    • AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP: Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum 4 years for first year admitted Degree students and maximum 3 years for Diploma Students as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. In case student is currently studying in the 2nd/ 3 rd/ 4 th year at degree level, the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 3/2/1 year respectively. Similarly, for students currently studying in the 2nd/ 3 rd year at diploma level, the duration of the scholarship will be reduced to 2/1 year respectively.
    • For Diploma Level: The selection of candidate will be carried out solely on the basis of merit of qualifying examination to pursue the Diploma course from any of the AICTE approved institutions i.e. on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the 10th / equivalent examination.
    • Method of Resolving ties (For Diploma Level): The procedure to be adopted for breaking ties (similar percentiles) shall be as under: -
  • Age: In case qualifying examination percentile does not break ties, then the candidate of elder age will be ranked higher.
  • Annual family income: If above method does not break ties, and then the candidate with lower annual family income will be ranked higher.
