VIJAYA BANK VIGILANCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME:2019

“INTEGRITY – A WAY OF LIFE”

BANK OF BARODA VIGILANCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME: The vigilance competition emphatically aimed to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life. The competition was contested among 90 participants from various departments of the college. The Winners were awarded with Cash prizes and certificates in the valedictory function. The Chief Guest was Mr.Tejinder Pal Singh, Deputy General Manager & Regional Office, Bangalore, South-Bank Of Baroda. Mr.Sukesh Hedge, National Kabaddi Player and employer of Bank of Baroda was the guest of Honor and Keynote speakers.  Dr. Amarnath K, Director TOCE addressed the gathering.  Dr. M S Shashidhara HOD MCA  Convener of the programme have given Vote of Thanks &   Mrs. Ramya Lakshmi Chander ,Branch Manager, Bank of Baroda preceding over the Function. The moto of this Program is about the  Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week that will be conducted  every year  is a  approach of the Commission where in one of the strategies is to endeavor that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty, transparency, integrity and accountability by supporting the fight against corruption with objective to motivate the citizens, as stakeholders in nation building, to collectively combat corruption at all level by participating in the prevention of and the fight against corruption to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption . This year the theme for the vigilance awareness week would be "Integrity-A way of life".

Vijaya Bank “Vigilance Awareness Programme- 2018”
The Department has organized One Day “Vigilance Awareness Programme  in association with VIJAYA BANK on 2nd  November 2018 at 6th floor Seminar Hall .The Elocution  competition, Eassy Writing and Poster Presentation emphatically aimed to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life. The observance of vigilance awareness is one such outreach measure where in all stake holders are encouraged to prevent and combat corruption. The competition was contested among 52 participants from various departments of the college.  The Winners were awarded with Cash prizes and certificates in the valedictory function. The Chief Guest was Mr.Sudarshan S A, General Manager,RO-Bangalore South and delivered the Keynote Address . The event was also attented by Mrs Ramyalakshmi Chander, Branch Manager , Vijaya Bank- Oxford Dental College Branch.

STATE LEVEL –SUMMIT -2018: 
 “Reforms in MCA Program and its Challenges” Discussed recommendations for unique MCA programme throughout the state and country to the concerned approval authorities of both state and central government.   The symposium focused on various aspects of current scenario faced by MCA colleges in Technical and sustainable aspects of today’s market trends.  It is an opportunity for all the participants to give their valuable suggestion and innovative ideas for betterment of MCA Programs in the Country.  The Forum discussed about clarity of admission Process in MCA programs. Also, prepare recommendations for unique MCA programme throughout the state and country to the concerned approval authorities of both state and central government on 28 January 2018

  • Soft Skill Training  was conducted from 18th to 23rd  September 2017 (5 days) by Seventh Sense Talent Solutions, Bangalore for  5th sem MCA students.
  • Spoken Tutorial Team of IIT, Bombay in coordination with MCA Department conducted One day certification course on JAVA for 3rd Semester Students on 28th November 2017. 20 Students attended the course and 18 of them have successfully completed.
  • Spoken Tutorial Team of IIT, Bombay in Coordination with MCA Department conducted One day certification course on PHP and MYSQL for MCA Semester Students on 9th may 2018. 65 students attended the course and 45 of them have successfully completed.

  • A Webinar titled on ‘Oracle's Public Cloud offerings - An Overview and Demonstration' by Don Kidwell, Senior Director, Cloud Architecture- Oracle on 4th August 2017.
  • An Expert Lecture on “Big Data and Hadoop Developer” was conducted on 7th August 2017. The Expert was Mr. Nagabhushan, Senior Consultant and Trainer, Big Data and Hadoop Ecosystem.
  • An Expert Lecture on “SAP Training program overview” was conducted on 26th August 2017. The Expert was Mr. Alex P Mattam, COO, Electro-Mech Enterprises.
  • An Expert Lecture on “Stock Mind season for Share trading” was conducted on February 1st 2017. The Expert was Ms. Suniti verma, Zonal Manager, Marketing division, ICICI securities. The Seminar taught students not just investing and financial skills but essential life skills that would help give their career boost.

A National-level student’s convention and techno-cultural fest, was organized by the students of MCA and ISE Departments of The Oxford College of Engineering under the aegis of the Student Branches of Computer Society of India (CSI) & IEEE This fest, offered an awesome platform for the students to showcase their innovative talents. Oxy-Tech 2K15” on the 11th and 12th of March, started with the ceremonious inaugural function presided by the honourable Chief Guest Sri. H.R. Mohan, President, CSI & Chair, IEEE CS, Madras and Former Associate Vice President (Systems), The Hindu.The Guest of Honour was Sri. Sundar Ramakrishnan, Director of Engineering, CISCO Systems, Bangalore. The fest was an amalgamation of technical and cultural events such as – ‘Web Weaver’, ‘Code Warriors’, ‘Online Treasure Hunt’, ‘Brain Scratch – IT Quiz’, ‘Innovative App Challenge’, ‘Kurukshetra – NFS & CS’, ‘Just a Minute’, ‘East meets West – Group Dance’, ‘Take One – Documentary Movie’ and ‘Gully Cricket’. The alluring events magnetized students from all over India. A total of 742 students from across 43 colleges participated.
