A) Guest Lectures/Workshops Conducted in the Department

  • A Guest Lecture was organized on “Recent   trends in Industrial Tools and Techniques” by Mr.Uday Bhargav, Entrepreneur and Alumni of TOCE on 11/08/2018.
  • A Guest Lecture was organized on “Skills requirements for Core Companies” and the resource person was Mr.Mohammed Haakim, Business Development Manager, Energy Tec Solutions, Bangalore on 19/09/2018.
  • A Guest Lecture was organized on “Industrial Automation and Robotics”  and the resource person was Mr.Parasuram, Business Development Engineer, AGIIT, Bangalore on 12/10/2018.

  • A Guest Lecture on “Role of smart Grid in power system operation and control” by Dr.Ravi, Professor, Department of EEE, VIT, Vellore on 17/03/2018.
  • A Two-day Workshop conducted on “MSP 430 Embedded system and its applications” by Mr.Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, Jyothi Embedded Labs, Bangalore on 26/4/2018 and 27/4/2018. 
  • A Guest Lecture on “Awareness about GATE/IES, PSU examinations” by Mr. Jai Prakash Rao, Vani Institute, Bangalore on 28/08/2017.
  • A Three day workshop on “Renewable Energy & Grid Integration Challenges and  Issues” was organized on 20/04/2017 to 22/04/2017. Resource persons were Dr.Nagana Gowda, Director and his Team Members, KPCL, Bangalore.

  • A Guest Lecture on “Geometrical methods for finding equivalent resistance” by Mr. Radha Krishnan, Ex.Chief Electrical Engineer, Indian Railways on 31/08/2017.  

B) Value Added / Career Oriented / Technical Training Programmes

  • Pre-Placement Technical training on “PLC, SCADA and Embedded” was conducted from 18/2/2019 to 23/2/2019 for VIII Sem students.
  • Soft-Skill Training was organized and conducted in the department from 14/03/2019 to 16/03/2019 for IV semester students.
  • Soft-Skill and Aptitude Training for Academic year 2018-2019 for VII semesters students was organized and conducted in the department from 3/10/2018 to 11/10/2018. The training was part of skill development for the students which would help them in their career and their placements.
  • A Six-Day Technical Training on “Industrial Automation” in association with Autmac Solutions, Prolific Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was organized for final year students from 07/03/2017 to 13/03/2017.
  • A Eight-Day Technical Training on “Embedded Systems” in association with Cranes    Software was organized for final year students from 07/03/2017 to 16/03/2017.

  • The Department had organized QEEE (Quality Enhancement in Engineering Education) Program for the topic “Differential Amplifiers-Analog Electronic Circuits” for 4th Sem students on 1/4/2017, 3/4/2017 and 6/4/2017.

C)  Workshop / Seminar Attended by Faculty

  • Dr.V.S.Bharath participated in One week workshop on “NBA/NAAC Accreditation Process for Technical Institutions” under Share and Mentor Institutions (Margadarshana) Scheme sponsored by AICTE from 10th to 14th December 2018, organized at M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
    Sandhya Rai, Devi Vighneshwari, Sumitha T.L attended One Week Faculty Development Program on “Optimization Technique for Control Systems and use of Artificial Intelligence in Power System” organized at SJBIT, Bangalore from 23/7/2018 to 28/7/2018.
  • Mrs.Sandhya Rai, Mrs.Nisha C Rani, Mrs.Resna S R attended Workshop on “New Model Curriculum for First Year BE/B.Tech-CBCS Detailed Syllabus(2018-19) as per Outcome-Based Education (OBE) format including course Outcomes (CO) and Bloom’s Taxonomy” held on 14th May 2018 at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
  • Mr.N.Jayakumar, Mrs.Arut Selvinagammai.P, Mrs.M.Raichel Ruby, Mrs.Resna S.R, Mrs.B. Devi Vighneshwari, Mrs.D.Thiruvona Sundari participated in ISTE STTP Workshop on “Electric Power System” conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur from 10 July 2017 to 15 July 2017.
  • Mrs.B.Devi Vighneshwari, Mrs.Sandhya Rai  participated in three day workshop on “Application of Matlab/Simulink in Control System,  Power  System & Signal Processing” organized by Dept of EEE, MVJCE, Bangalore from 11 - 13 December 2017.
  • Ms.Bhuvaneshwari.M, Mrs.Deepa.R participated in ISTE State Level Faculty Convention conducted at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering on 9th December 2017.
  • Mr.Jayakumar.N attended two day workshop on “Research Methodologies” from 08/05/2017 to 09/05/2017 organized by CMRIT, Bangalore in association with VTU E-Learning Centre and IEEE COMSOC Society.
