M.Sc. Chemistry
The inception of the department of chemistry at Oxford College of Science began with the introduction of B.Sc, Undergraduate programme in the year 1994. Over the decade the programme has successfully produced several chemist working in various frontier areas of chemistry. The Post graduate programme M. Sc was launced in the year 2009.
Both the programmes M.Sc( organic Chemistry) and B.Sc ( With Three options) are offered by the department.
Currently, three combinations are offered in B.Sc courses with chemistry –
- Chemistry, Zoology and Biotechnology ( CZBt)
- Chemistry, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology ( CGtBt)
- Chemistry,Zoology and Microbiology ( CZMB) and the post graduate programme M.Sc is with Organic chemistry specialization .
The department has dedicated, well- experienced, subject specialized faculties conducting these courses in well ventilated classrooms. Keeping the current advances in chemistry, both the P.G & U.G labs are well equipped . A vast collection of latest and advanced books are available for references and research activities.
